Harsh Economic Times Need Outstanding School Marketing

Sunday, March 22, 2009
We find ourselves questioning our whole School Marketing Plan (SMP) and School Marketing Budget (SMB) in these tough economic times.

Many schools are losing enrolments due to families being unable to pay the fees and expenses. Our budgets overall are sufffering from smaller enrolments.

It is in these times that we need to look seriously at our SMB and SMP. If we cut back on the SMB fewer people will hear or read about what our school has to offer. This is turn will lead to even less enrolments.

We need to maintain ,or enlarge, our budgets to levels which allow the desired number of people to be engaged with being informed successfully with what we have to offer.

Our School Marketing Plan needs to be reworked in this light. Appropriate resources are needed to assist.

School Marketing and the Media

Sunday, March 22, 2009
Trepidation is often felt about certain aspects of dealing with the media. Knowing how to use the media to the school’s advantage, as well as how best to school market through the media is a challenge.

Another is the challenge to effectively work through the production of various school marketing resources for the media.

How is this a challenge for you? How have you met this challenge?
